Associate Counsel

About the role

The Associate Counsel will support the company across the CALA region by handling a variety of legal matters and projects. Reporting to senior counsel, the role works closely with business leaders to mitigate commercial risks and align legal advice with corporate strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Manage regional legal matters in commercial law, contracts, employment law, and regulatory/compliance.
• Participate in regional project teams and cross‑functional groups on legal and compliance issues.
• Provide legal support to business units such as real estate, operations, and transportation.
• Develop expertise in Colombian law and advise business clients on relevant legal developments.
• Negotiate, draft, and review legal documents and agreements.
• Assist senior counsel with compliance matters and support business clients on local and international regulations.

Required profile

• Law degree from a Colombian or recognized Latin American university.
• Active "tarjeta profesional" (professional license) in Colombia; admission to practice in other CALA jurisdictions is a plus.
• 2–5 years of experience in a law firm or in‑house legal department, preferably at a multinational company.
• Experience in legal document drafting, review, and negotiations.
