Associate – Litigation (Insurance)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Associate to join our insurance litigation team in Bogotá. The role involves providing specialist legal advice and representation to local and international insurers and reinsurers across the full spectrum of insurance disputes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all phases of litigation, including drafting pleadings and motions, conducting discovery, and handling appeals.
• Lead arbitration matters and negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.
• Advise on policy drafting, claim negotiations and coverage disputes.
• Provide corporate, regulatory and commercial advice related to insurance and reinsurance contracts.
• Maintain client relationships and represent the firm at business development events.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of experience in insurance litigation, preferably in a global law‑firm environment.
• Proven track record of handling large, complex cases from inception to resolution.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.
• Excellent organisational abilities and the capacity to manage own workload effectively.
• Experience in arbitration, negotiation and client‑facing activities.
