Cloud Engineer

About the role

As a Cloud Engineer at Simetrik you will ensure a stable, secure, and scalable infrastructure that powers a leading B2B fintech platform. You will work closely with the Head of Tech and development teams to automate operations, improve reliability, and support rapid product growth.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform.
• Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines.
• Automate testing, builds, and deployments in collaboration with developers.
• Manage and monitor AWS services such as ECS, EC2, RDS, Batch, and more.
• Drive cost‑optimization, governance, and adherence to the AWS Well‑Architected Framework.
• Implement observability using Datadog, CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry.
• Support containerization with Docker and orchestrators like Kubernetes or ECS Fargate.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering or related roles.
• Proven expertise with Terraform and a broad range of AWS services.
• Strong knowledge of networking, load balancing, high availability, and security best practices.
• Hands‑on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Harness).
• Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools.
• Programming/scripting skills in Python, Bash or similar.
