Communications Senior Country Lead PACA

About the role

The Communications Senior Country Lead PACA, based in Bogota, Colombia, serves as the top communications advisor for Bayer across the Andean, Central America and Caribbean (PACA) region. Reporting to the North Latam & Conosur Communications Head, the role ensures communications align with business priorities, build stakeholder trust, and enhance Bayer’s reputation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of integrated communications strategies for the PACA cluster.
• Provide strategic counsel to Country Managing Directors and senior leadership on reputation management, executive positioning, and issue preparedness.
• Manage communications budgets and resources to maximize impact.
• Build and maintain relationships with media, industry associations, NGOs, and opinion leaders.
• Drive cohesion, capability building, and performance standards across the regional communications team through influence and cross‑country collaboration.
• Represent Bayer externally at senior levels in coordination with local leadership.
• Contribute to enterprise‑wide initiatives and flexible resource allocation across Bayer’s Communications Network.

Required profile

• Extensive senior‑level experience in corporate communications, public affairs or related fields.
• Proven track record of advising C‑suite executives and managing reputation in a multinational environment.
• Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence across functions and cultures.
• Excellent stakeholder management and media relations capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to develop strategic communication plans that deliver measurable business outcomes.
