Freelance Compliance Analyst – AI Training

About the role

This freelance position supports AI‑training projects by applying compliance expertise to evaluate regulatory artifacts. You will work remotely on a project‑by‑project basis, helping leading tech companies ensure their AI systems respect relevant laws and policies.

Key responsibilities

• Read compliance artifacts (advertisements, disclosures, policies) and match them to exact regulatory subsections, citing violations or confirmations.
• Write sanctions‑alert disposition cases with structured false‑positive reasoning and escalation scenarios.
• Design compliance testing scenarios, including sample selection, test design, findings documentation, and examiner‑ready conclusion memos.
• Identify policy gaps where internal policies are silent, contradictory, or outdated relative to regulations.
• Document all test cases with verified regulatory citations, never approximated or fabricated.

Required profile

• Degree in Law, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in compliance, audit, legal, risk management, or financial services.
• Recent experience in compliance or regulatory roles, financial crimes, or related functions.
• Strong citation discipline – ability to pinpoint exact regulatory subsections and flag uncertainty.
• Professional credentials such as CRCM, CAMS, or equivalent are a strong plus; former regulatory examiner or inspector status is also valued.
• Excellent written English (C1+ level).
