HR Specialist – Business Unit Support

About the role

The HR Specialist will join the DePuy Synthes Business Unit in Bogotá, providing day‑to‑day HR services that support business performance and employee experience. Working closely with HR colleagues and business leaders, the role ensures smooth execution of core people processes and compliance with local labor regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Execute onboarding, employee data changes, performance cycles, and off‑boarding activities.
• Serve as the first point of contact for employee and manager HR inquiries, escalating complex issues when needed.
• Assist BUHR partners with workforce planning, talent management, and organizational initiatives.
• Coordinate HR programs such as engagement activities, learning initiatives, and internal communications.
• Maintain accurate HR records and ensure data integrity across HR systems.
• Support compliance with local labor laws, internal policies, and audit requirements.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and basic analyses to aid HR decision‑making.
• Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Payroll, and other HR functions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• 4–5 years of relevant experience in Human Resources, People Operations or a similar administrative role.
• Foundational knowledge of HR processes and employment practices.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
