International Payroll & HR Services Specialist (Latin America & Canada)

About the role

We are looking for a highly capable and detail‑oriented Payroll & HR Specialist to support payroll operations and human‑resources activities across Latin America, the Caribbean and Canada. The role combines operational execution with process stewardship, driving accuracy, compliance and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end‑to‑end payroll processing for multiple countries, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and statutory compliance.
• Serve as the regional point of contact for payroll and HR operational matters, promoting consistent practices.
• Support HR operations including onboarding, benefits administration and employee records management.
• Administer local payroll‑related benefits (health, retirement, statutory) and ensure integration with payroll processes.
• Create, maintain and enhance SOPs, process documentation and control points.
• Conduct regular reviews of payroll and HR processes to identify gaps, risks and improvement opportunities.
• Partner with internal teams and external vendors to implement process improvements.
• Monitor regional labor law and payroll regulation changes and translate them into operational updates.
• Manage relationships with third‑party payroll and HR vendors, ensuring service and compliance standards.
• Perform GL posting, account reconciliation and manage payroll‑related banking transactions.

Required profile

• Detail‑oriented with strong regional expertise in Latin America, the Caribbean and Canada.
• Sound judgment and ability to operate effectively in complex, multi‑country environments.
• Experience overseeing payroll processing across multiple jurisdictions.
• Knowledge of local statutory and regulatory payroll requirements.
• Experience supporting HR operations such as onboarding and benefits administration.
• Proven ability to develop and maintain SOPs and control documentation.
• Strong analytical skills for process reviews and risk identification.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
