Junior Category Manager – Procurement

About the role

DHL Group is seeking a Junior Category Manager to join its Procurement team in Colombia. You will support regional sourcing strategies, negotiate with suppliers, and help drive cost‑saving initiatives across construction‑related categories.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct sourcing tenders and lead negotiations with regional, national and international suppliers.
• Develop and align category strategies based on market intelligence and business partner direction.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of construction market dynamics and supplier trends.
• Implement regional sourcing practices under corporate guidance and collaborate with country procurement teams.
• Track benefits, monitor total cost of ownership and ensure compliance with contracts.
• Support supplier development and manage relationships with key construction service providers.

Required profile

• University degree or equivalent experience in procurement, supply chain, business administration or related field.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market data.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to work in a fast‑paced, global environment.
