Junior Mechanical Designer

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Mechanical Designer to join our engineering team, focusing on plant and process diagram creation for the food and beverage industry. The role involves 2D and 3D design work, validation of manufacturing processes, and support for project documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Design, edit and manage plant layouts and process diagrams (P&IDs).
• Create and verify construction diagrams, including pipe routes, isometric drawings and mechanical assemblies using 3D software.
• Generate bills of materials with counts by diameter and isometric.
• Validate manufacturing processes in stainless‑steel and carbon‑steel environments, adhering to hygienic design standards.
• Assist senior designers and team leaders in project development and documentation.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering.
• At least 2 years of demonstrable experience in 3D design for industrial projects, especially steam, condensate networks and skid tanks.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time, domestically and internationally.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, AutoCAD Plant 3D and AutoCAD Inventor.
• Strong 3D modeling capabilities.
• Experience with bill of materials generation and isometric drawing.
• Knowledge of pipeline routing and mechanical assembly design.
• Familiarity with Compress software for vessel simulation (valuable).
