Lifecycle & Retention Marketing Manager

About the role

A fast-growing DTC health and wellness brand is looking for a Lifecycle & Retention Marketing Manager to own the customer journey across email, SMS, loyalty and retention programs. The role sits at the centre of the customer engagement strategy, creating personalized experiences that increase retention, repeat purchase rate, lifetime value and brand loyalty. It is a full-time, remote position.

Key responsibilities

• Email marketing: own the email calendar, build and optimize lifecycle flows (welcome series, abandoned cart, browse abandonment, post-purchase, replenishment, win-back, re-engagement), segment audiences, test creative and offers, and monitor deliverability and list health
• SMS marketing: run campaigns and automated flows, keep SMS and email aligned, and grow a healthy, compliant SMS subscriber list
• Loyalty and retention: own the loyalty and rewards program, drive repeat purchases, referrals and LTV, and create campaigns tied to milestones, VIP tiers, birthdays and anniversaries
• AI/SEO optimization: optimize product, collection and content pages for traditional SEO and AI-driven search, and keep the site crawlable and well structured
• Customer lifecycle strategy: design end-to-end journeys, identify segments, reduce churn and partner with acquisition teams

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in lifecycle marketing, e-commerce or digital marketing, with hands-on Shopify experience required
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Digital Marketing or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Direct experience running email flows and e-commerce loyalty programming
• Self-starter comfortable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, with strong written and verbal communication

• Shopify ecosystem, including apps and integrations
• Email marketing platforms such as Klaviyo and SMS marketing tools
• Analytics, attribution modeling and landing page creation for paid ads
