Manager, Procurement Operations, Americas

About the role

DePuy Synthes, part of Johnson & Johnson's Innovative Medicine and MedTech businesses, is recruiting a Manager, Procurement Operations in Bogotá, Colombia. The role ensures that the Regional Global Services Procurement organization delivers results supporting Global Services, One Procurement and DePuy Synthes' business strategy. It works directly with the business, category leaders and the broader Procurement function, overseeing the operational execution of sourcing and contracting cases and the strategic sourcing plan.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a team of individual contributors and/or supervisors, including performance management, coaching, capability development and succession planning.
• Manage workflow, performance, capacity, quality, compliance and escalations, ensuring team goals and service levels are met.
• Oversee day-to-day Procurement Operations and Source-to-Contract services, including sourcing events, negotiations, contract drafting and execution, requisition and purchase-order support, supplier onboarding and reporting.
• Collaborate with departments to improve profitability and competitiveness, using market intelligence, risk assessments and total-cost projections.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, company policies, data privacy, cybersecurity and quality expectations, partnering with Category Procurement, Finance, Legal, Compliance, Quality and others.
• Monitor service levels, cycle time, backlog, quality, compliance and productivity, and drive continuous improvement in user and supplier experience.
• Support automation and AI initiatives, and lead team readiness for process and technology changes through training and user acceptance testing.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; MBA or another advanced degree preferred.
• 6-8 years of procurement, finance or other relevant business experience.
• Prior experience leading people in a matrixed service-delivery environment preferred.
• Fluency in English, written and oral; another language of the region preferred.
• Up to 5% domestic and international travel; Monday to Friday schedule with partial regional coverage.

Required skills

• Preferred: good understanding of sourcing, contracting and Source-to-Settle operations.
• Preferred: shared services or global business services experience, and experience in sourcing, category management, Requisition-to-Pay or Accounts Payable.
• Preferred: experience in life sciences, healthcare or another regulated industry.
• Preferred: SAP Ariba, SAP S/4HANA, ServiceNow, Coupa or Power BI.
