Ocean Freight Tender Pricing Expert

About the role

The Ocean Freight Tender Pricing Expert will coordinate end‑to‑end pricing for global and country RFQs, ensuring competitive and timely bid submissions. Based in Bogota, the role works closely with the Ocean Freight Tender Manager and Country Ocean Commercial Centers to implement pricing strategies and improve tender hit rates.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the RFQ pricing process across all trade lanes and countries to deliver timely, competitive submissions.
• Convert Customer Pricing Templates into the global Internal Pricing Template for each RFQ.
• Collaborate with internal rate database tools (MTS) and trade teams to produce high‑quality RFQ responses.
• Validate pricing data in IPTs and CPTs for completeness, compliance with T&Cs, and alignment with customer requirements.
• Conduct technical and quality sanity checks, providing visual validation triggers for lane‑level data quality.
• Prepare gap‑to‑target and competitiveness analyses for global RFQs.
• Support pricing refinement across multiple rounds and enable decisive walk‑away decisions.
• Prepare rate cards for awarded business and hand over to the rate‑card loading team in ERP/RMS/CW1 format.
• Process quotations for additional lanes, surcharge updates, and transit‑time changes.

Required profile

• Proven experience coordinating ocean freight RFQ pricing processes.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to assess pricing competitiveness.
• Familiarity with global pricing templates and internal rate databases.
• Attention to detail for data validation and compliance.
• Ability to work with cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced environment.
