Order Coordinator

About the role

The Order Coordinator at PriceSmart ensures that merchandise is reordered efficiently to maintain optimal stock levels while staying within the inventory budget. This role supports the daily flow of goods from vendors to distribution centers, aligning with PriceSmart’s merchandising philosophy.

Key responsibilities

• Manage inventories and place items within budget constraints.
• Submit replenishment orders to vendors.
• Integrate the Six Rights of Merchandising into daily operations.
• Track order status to meet on‑time delivery guidelines.
• Communicate issues with buyers, assistant buyers, and problem vendors.
• Maintain professional relationships with vendors and internal personnel.
• Research effective distribution methods to distribution centers.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of relevant experience (preferred).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Motivated to learn product categories and international logistics.
• Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to work under pressure.
• Proficiency in English and Spanish.
