Project Manager III - Hybrid

About the role

VUMI, an international health insurance organization offering medical insurance and VIP healthcare services, is looking for an experienced Project Manager III in Medellín. The role leads strategic business and technology initiatives, planning, executing and delivering complex projects in line with business objectives, stakeholder expectations, timelines, budgets and quality standards. It suits a proactive leader with strong project management expertise and experience managing cross-functional teams in international settings.

Key responsibilities

• Lead project delivery: manage projects from initiation to closure, define scope, timelines, resources, deliverables and success metrics, monitor progress and manage risks, issues and dependencies, and ensure projects are on time, in scope and within budget.
• Facilitate communication between business and technical teams, build relationships with business leaders and key stakeholders, and lead project meetings, status updates and executive presentations.
• Align project objectives with business priorities and organizational goals, and manage stakeholder expectations and communications.
• Support agile and operational excellence: facilitate planning sessions and delivery ceremonies when applicable, promote continuous improvement, collaboration and accountability, and contribute to improving project management processes and governance.
• Lead cross-functional projects supporting business transformation and operational efficiency, coordinate multiple workstreams across departments and ensure adoption of project outcomes and organizational changes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience managing business and technology projects.
• Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple priorities.
• Strong project planning, risk management and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with project management methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
• Advanced English and advanced Spanish proficiency.

Required skills

• Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Project or similar.
• PMP, Scrum Master, Agile or related certifications preferred.
• Preferred: experience in healthcare, insurance or highly regulated industries, regional or international projects, and knowledge of business process improvement and change management.
