Senior Software Engineering Manager – Data Platform (Remote, Colombia)

About the role

Caseware is building an enterprise‑grade Data Platform that powers analytics, AI experiences, and system interoperability across its SaaS ecosystem. As a Senior Software Engineering Manager you will lead the team that designs, builds, and operates this platform, ensuring it scales reliably and meets the evolving needs of customers and partners.

Key responsibilities

• Lead delivery of the Data Platform product and technical roadmap, guiding architecture and execution.
• Coach, mentor, and grow a team of data and platform engineers.
• Collaborate with product owners, domain experts, and downstream consumers to translate business needs into clear platform plans.
• Provide technical leadership on architectural decisions, design reviews, and long‑term maintainability.
• Ensure observability, privacy, security, and compliance requirements are met.
• Drive operational excellence through incident response, post‑mortems, and continuous improvement of data freshness, accuracy, reliability, performance, and cost efficiency.
• Partner with DevOps and DevSuccess to enhance CI/CD pipelines, deployment practices, monitoring, and alerting.
• Manage technical debt while balancing short‑term delivery with long‑term platform health.
• Recruit, onboard, and develop engineers, handling performance management and career growth.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading data‑focused engineering teams in a SaaS environment.
• Strong people‑leadership skills with a track record of coaching and developing engineers.
• Deep understanding of data ingestion, ETL, data lake architecture, and cloud‑based platforms.
• Experience ensuring security, privacy, and compliance for data‑intensive systems.
• Ability to work remotely and collaborate across distributed product teams.
