Senior Software Security Engineer (AI‑First)

About the role

We are looking for a senior technical leader to drive security‑focused development across our cloud platform and legacy Windows codebase. This AI‑first position expects you to use agentic‑AI tools as the default way of delivering high‑quality software while shaping architecture and translating technical decisions into business value.

Key responsibilities

• Create architecture, prototypes and design proposals that align with short‑term business goals and long‑term platform vision.
• Lead technical direction through architecture reviews, RFCs, design discussions and hands‑on delivery across the SDLC.
• Partner with senior developers, architects and tech leads to define and execute the product/platform roadmap.
• Drive automation, improve CI/CD pipelines, and eliminate manual toil in builds, testing and deployment.
• Own security posture and CVE‑remediation strategy for cloud services and legacy Windows components.
• Mentor developers on AI‑augmented development, design reviews and secure coding practices.

Required profile

• 8+ years of professional software development experience with impact beyond a single team.
• Proven experience designing and operating distributed, cloud‑native SaaS platforms at scale, preferably on AWS.
• Strong fundamentals in OOP, design patterns, SOLID principles and code quality advocacy.
• Experience with agentic‑AI development practices and mentoring others in their use.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in fast‑moving, ambiguous environments.

• Infrastructure as code: CloudFormation, Terraform, AWS CDK
• Containerization and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, Istio
• Testing & observability: JUnit, New Relic
• Legacy Windows development: C++.NET Framework, MSBuild (or willingness to learn)
• AI‑assisted development tools (Claude, etc.)
