About the role

The World Food Programme (WFP) is seeking an Associate for IT Operations to support its information technology unit in Bogotá, Colombia. This fixed‑term position lasts for one year with the possibility of renewal and is classified at the GS‑6 level.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the IT unit in delivering reliable technology services that enable WFP programmes in Colombia.
• Contribute to the implementation of innovative tools such as cash‑transfer systems and local food‑purchase platforms.
• Support the monitoring and maintenance of IT infrastructure that serves vulnerable populations, including victims of violence, marginalized communities and ethnic groups.

Required profile

• Eligibility for a GS‑6 level appointment.
• Willingness to work in Bogotá for the duration of the contract.
• Commitment to WFP’s mission of fighting hunger and supporting Sustainable Development Goals 2 and 17.
