About the role

The Data Management Assistant will support the World Food Programme’s field office in Riohacha, Colombia, by ensuring accurate collection, entry and maintenance of data related to food assistance programmes. This position contributes to the organization’s mission of fighting hunger and supporting vulnerable communities.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, verify and enter data from field activities into designated databases.
• Perform routine data quality checks and resolve inconsistencies.
• Generate basic reports and dashboards for programme monitoring.
• Support field staff with data‑related queries and documentation.
• Maintain data confidentiality and adhere to WFP data standards.

Required profile

• Secondary education or higher, preferably with experience in data handling.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast‑paced field environment.
• Good communication skills in Spanish; English proficiency is an advantage.

Required skills

• Basic computer literacy, including MS Office (Excel).
• Experience with data entry and database management tools.
