Chemical Engineer – Remote Short‑Term Contract (11 weeks)

About the role

We are seeking a highly qualified Chemistry Expert to work remotely on a short‑term (11‑week) contract. You will solve advanced, postgraduate‑level chemistry problems and contribute to AI model fine‑tuning through clear, structured explanations.

Key responsibilities

• Solve complex organic reaction mechanisms, chemical equilibrium, stoichiometry, thermodynamics, and electrochemistry problems.
• Create detailed textual explanations, annotated chemical structures, and visual diagrams (energy profiles, reaction progress, etc.).
• Provide constructive feedback and annotations on chemistry‑related tasks.
• Collaborate with the AI team to improve model performance using analytical problem‑solving.
• Maintain clear communication and documentation in a remote work environment.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or Ph.D. (or currently pursuing) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or a related field.
• Strong research, analytical, and logical reasoning abilities.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently with reliable internet access.
• LinkedIn profile included in the resume; background check required after onboarding.

Required skills

• Proficiency in at least three of the following tools: GROMACS, LAMMPS, Psi4, PySCF, xtb, crest, Multiwfn, Cantera, CoolProp, NWChem, PyBaMM, RDKit, Open Babel.
