Civil Engineer – Renewables

About the role

WSP is looking for a Civil Engineer specialized in renewable energy to join its multidisciplinary team in Bogotá. You will support the planning, design, analysis, and delivery of wind farms, solar plants, battery energy storage systems (BESS) and related infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Design and analyse civil works for renewable projects, including grading, drainage, storm‑water, erosion control and access roads.
• Develop foundations, platforms, collector systems and site infrastructure layouts.
• Prepare calculations, technical reports, drawings, specifications and construction documentation.
• Review topographic, geotechnical, hydrological and environmental data to ensure compliance with permitting and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with electrical, structural, geotechnical, environmental and project‑management teams.
• Review contractor submissions, support construction activities, conduct site inspections and resolve technical issues.
• Assist in project planning, budgeting, scheduling, risk assessments and proposal preparation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master’s considered an asset).
• Professional Engineer designation or eligibility preferred.
• 6–9 years of civil engineering experience, preferably on renewable energy or large‑scale infrastructure projects.
• Advanced proficiency in English and French.
