Compliance Coordinator

About the role

AstraZeneca Colombia is looking for a Compliance Coordinator to support the design, implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement of its Compliance and Data Privacy framework. Acting as Deputy to the Compliance Business Partner, the role gives independent, risk-based advice, strengthens ethical decision-making and helps ensure local activities comply with applicable legislation, internal standards and AstraZeneca's values.

Key responsibilities

• Provide compliance advice to business areas and promote ethical, risk-based decisions.
• Support management of risks related to compliance, anti-corruption, ML/FT/PF, C/ST, data protection and other corporate risks.
• Coordinate risk assessments, due diligence, monitoring and follow-up of remediation plans.
• Implement and monitor data privacy controls and identify risks linked to personal and sensitive data.
• Support audits, reviews and investigations while ensuring confidentiality, objectivity and traceability.
• Develop training and communications to strengthen a culture of ethics, integrity and speak-up.
• Work cross-functionally with Legal, Finance, HR, Audit, Data Privacy, IT and others.
• Act as Deputy to the Compliance Business Partner and, when formally appointed, assume the responsibilities of Alternate Compliance Officer.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree.
• At least 1 year of experience in compliance and ML/FT/PF and C/ST risk management.
• Knowledge of corporate governance, healthcare regulations and regulated environments, and Colombian data protection rules.
• Experience in risk assessment, monitoring, controls and follow-up of action plans.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills in Spanish; professional English is highly desirable.
• High standards of ethics and confidentiality, strong autonomy and professional judgment.

Required skills

• Digital skills: Teams, Copilot, AZChatGPT, PowerPoint, Power BI.
• Preferred: knowledge of GDPR and the ability to turn complex regulations into practical business recommendations.
• Strong influencing, stakeholder management and critical thinking skills.
