Databricks Architect – Latin America

About the role

We are seeking a Databricks Architect to lead the delivery of data engineering solutions for enterprise clients across Latin America. The role is client‑facing, working directly with C‑level stakeholders to design, build and operate production‑grade Databricks platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design and architect scalable Databricks‑based solutions on AWS and/or Azure.
• Lead end‑to‑end cloud data platform implementations, including production pipelines with Databricks Workflows and Spark Declarative Pipelines.
• Build scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Spark, PySpark and Databricks Workflows.
• Partner with client stakeholders to translate business needs into technical designs.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to data engineering teams.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure‑as‑code for Databricks resources (Terraform, GitHub Actions, etc.).
• Drive collaborative development through Git workflows, pull requests and code reviews.
• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for clients, including C‑level executives.

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience in data engineering, cloud architecture or related fields.
• 3+ years of hands‑on experience with Databricks platforms.
• Proven track record delivering Databricks projects in a consulting or professional services environment.
• Experience working directly with clients and leading technical projects.

Required skills

• Databricks, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Delta Live Tables, Databricks Jobs.
• PySpark, Spark SQL, Python, SQL.
• Git version control, pull requests, code review workflows.
• CI/CD and infrastructure‑as‑code tools such as Terraform, GitHub Actions.
• MLflow for experiment tracking and model registry.
• Cloud platforms AWS and/or Azure.
