Director, Specialist Sales

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Director, Specialist Sales to lead SME sales initiatives across Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC). The role focuses on identifying and converting new SME payment opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, originate, and prioritize high‑potential SME opportunities across markets, verticals, and distribution channels.
• Develop and manage a strong pipeline to generate incremental gross domestic volume (GDV) and revenue.
• Build relationships with fintechs, platforms, marketplaces, software providers, distributors, acquirers, and issuers.
• Lead full sales cycles from prospecting to negotiation and closing, creating tailored value propositions.
• Collaborate with regional sales, product, finance, legal, marketing, and operations teams to advance opportunities.
• Translate market insights into repeatable commercial playbooks and scalable models.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in sales, business development, strategic partnerships, or payments.
• Proven track record of originating, negotiating, and closing complex B2B deals.
• Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and executive communication skills.
• Experience working across LAC and understanding regional SME ecosystems.
• Bachelor’s degree required; fluency in Spanish and English.
