Financial Operations Controller – Systems Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Financial Operations Controller – Systems Specialist to own and optimize our financial systems infrastructure and daily accounting operations for a large agricultural enterprise that manages over 25,000 colonies. The role is fully remote and supports rapid growth through acquisitions.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the QuickBooks administrator, managing chart of accounts, multi‑location setups, inventory, COGS and seasonal adjustments, and producing monthly financial statements.
• Oversee accounts payable on the Ramp platform, design automated workflows, handle expense management, credit‑card reconciliation and vendor onboarding.
• Administer ADP payroll for a multi‑state workforce, integrate Homebase time‑tracking data, process weekly payroll, manage benefits and ensure compliance with state labor laws.
• Prepare monthly financial packages, KPI dashboards, lead budgeting and forecasting, and support audit and tax preparation.
• Integrate financial systems for seamless data flow, develop automated reporting and workflow processes, and assist with M&A integration and new location setups.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing financial systems such as QuickBooks, Ramp and ADP.
• Background in multi‑state payroll administration and agricultural or inventory‑heavy accounting.
• Strong analytical abilities and experience preparing financial reports, budgets and forecasts.
• Ability to train users, document procedures and support system integrations during acquisitions.
