About the role

Materialise Medical is looking for a Biomedical Design Engineer to create patient‑specific 3D virtual surgical guides and implants for cranio‑maxillo‑facial (CMF) surgeries. You will work with the company’s proprietary software to transform clinical data into accurate bone models and customized devices that support surgeons worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Generate 3D bone models using Materialise software based on patient imaging data.
• Design and customize surgical guides and metal implants for CMF procedures.
• Prepare detailed planning reports that accompany each case.
• Follow validated SOPs, prioritize cases according to global scheduling, and update the IQVIA system.
• Participate in process‑improvement activities and document any procedural changes.
• Complete required trainings, maintain personal time tracking, and report issues through the defined communication flow.

Required profile

• Ability to work autonomously while adhering to strict prioritization and coordination guidelines.
• Willingness to attend all mandatory trainings and certify completion of SOPs.
• Attention to detail and strong documentation skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Materialise software for 3D modeling.
• Experience creating 3D bone models and designing surgical guides or metal implants.
• Familiarity with IQVIA system and TS365 time‑tracking tool.
• Knowledge of DE‑DQE and Eng‑Eng feedback systems.
