Junior Civil Engineer – Thermal Generation Projects

About the role

WSP is seeking a Junior Civil Engineer to support the design of civil packages for thermal generation projects in the United States. The successful candidate will work closely with US project leads, applying civil engineering principles to develop detailed designs and ensure integration with other engineering disciplines.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver comprehensive civil design packages for thermal generation projects across the United States, covering all relevant civil engineering aspects.
• Collaborate directly with US project leads to execute project activities, coordinate deliverables, and maintain alignment with project schedules and standards.

Required profile

• Solid understanding of oil & gas infrastructure projects and/or thermal power plant civil requirements, including site preparation, foundations, and utility systems.
• Design, analysis, and development of structural components, encompassing composite materials, metallic parts, and integrated structural assemblies.
• Create detailed 3D models, part drawings, assembly layouts, installation plans, and interface control documents to support construction and fabrication.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary subsystem teams to define and manage structural interface requirements, ensuring seamless integration across the project.

Required skills

• Proficiency in 3D modelling software.
• Strong ability to produce and interpret CAD drawings.
