Payroll Analyst

About the role

Johnson & Johnson is hiring a Payroll Analyst for its Bogotá Capability Center, within the Finance function. The analyst delivers payroll-related tasks for the Americas region, reviewing, validating and analysing results and reports, while taking part in incident and change management, continuous improvement, digital capability projects and system upgrades. The role follows J&J Global Services tools, procedures and guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure payroll data flows from internal applications into the payroll system before the payroll deadline.
• Support accounting, payments, time and attendance and long-term incentive processes as part of payroll.
• Perform checks, controls, variance analysis and reconciliations before payroll is finalised.
• Act as payroll support for testing, data management and process documentation.
• Advise the third-party payroll provider on payroll calculations and support multi-country payroll.
• Handle month-end, quarter-end and year-end payroll returns and reporting.
• Execute SOX compliance, internal controls and regulatory requirements, keeping payroll records accurate and confidential.
• Maintain payroll documentation, raise continuous improvement and automation ideas, and resolve payroll inquiries.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of payroll or HR operations experience (Americas region).
• Knowledge of US payroll processing, regulations and vendors.
• Strong spoken and written English; payroll certification preferred (e.g. CPP, FPC).
• Experience with third-party providers (ADP, NGA, SD Worx) and multi-national or shared services environments preferred.
• Experience with eTime, Kronos, Salesforce Service Cloud, SAP or Workday preferred.
• Experience with DTPs and SOX compliance required.
