Payroll Team Leader - Colombia

About the role

TMF Group, a global provider of administrative services including payroll, is hiring a Payroll Team Leader for Colombia. The role leads end-to-end payroll operations for several clients, ensuring accurate, timely and high-quality service delivery, while developing a team of payroll professionals and managing client expectations and stakeholder relationships in a BPO environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the payroll team, including workload distribution, training, performance and development.
• Oversee end-to-end payroll operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, compliance and data integrity.
• Manage payroll controls, procedures and SOPs, keeping documentation and country knowledge up to date.
• Act as the main escalation point for payroll issues, solving them for clients and stakeholders.
• Drive process improvements, automation and operational efficiency.
• Support payroll system implementations, client and data migrations and related projects.
• Coordinate with internal teams and platforms for successful implementations and daily workflows.
• Prepare payroll reports and analysis with insights and recommendations for management decisions.
• Keep payroll practices aligned with regulations, technology developments and best practices.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of experience managing Colombian payroll end-to-end.
• Strong knowledge of the complete Colombian payroll cycle.
• Previous experience in a BPO / multi-client environment is a must.
• Proven experience leading and managing teams.
• English B2+.
