About the role
The Steward ensures the hotel’s back‑of‑house areas are spotless and that dish‑washing equipment operates efficiently, contributing to an excellent guest and member experience.
Key responsibilities
- Operate pot‑washing and dishware machinery while maintaining hygiene standards.
- Perform general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, washing, and waste disposal.
- Keep kitchen and back‑of‑house areas clean according to the cleaning schedule.
- Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Report maintenance or hazard issues to the supervisor promptly.
- Assist with any additional reasonable tasks assigned by hotel management.
Required profile
- Positive attitude and good communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, both independently and as part of a team.
- Previous experience as a kitchen porter or similar role is advantageous.
Required skills
- Operation of pot‑washing machinery.
- Knowledge of hygiene and safety regulations in a kitchen environment.
