Steward – Hotel Kitchen Operations

About the role

The Steward ensures the hotel’s back‑of‑house areas are spotless and that dish‑washing equipment operates efficiently, contributing to an excellent guest and member experience.

Key responsibilities

• Operate pot‑washing and dishware machinery while maintaining hygiene standards.
• Perform general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, washing, and waste disposal.
• Keep kitchen and back‑of‑house areas clean according to the cleaning schedule.
• Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
• Report maintenance or hazard issues to the supervisor promptly.
• Assist with any additional reasonable tasks assigned by hotel management.

Required profile

• Positive attitude and good communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, both independently and as part of a team.
• Previous experience as a kitchen porter or similar role is advantageous.

Required skills

• Operation of pot‑washing machinery.
• Knowledge of hygiene and safety regulations in a kitchen environment.
