A2R DS Manager - Global Services Finance Accounting

About the role

DePuy Synthes is recruiting an A2R DS Manager in Bogota, Colombia, within the Global Services Finance (GSF) team's accounting process area. The role leads the accounting and daily operations of the GSF accounting process, which covers sales and purchase orders, balance reconciliation, ageing monitoring and balance sheet reconciliations. The position is part of a planned separation of the Orthopaedics business into a new publicly traded company; the separation is expected to finish within 24 months and the role may move to the new company afterward.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the accounting and daily operations of the GSF accounting process areas, ensuring timely period closing and execution in line with the closing calendar and SLAs, while meeting compliance, internal audit and SOX requirements.
• Ensure the completeness, accuracy and validity of reported actuals and maintain strong internal controls to achieve adequate audit ratings.
• Lead a team of 25 or fewer associates, supporting auditors and legal authorities, and developing succession plans and performance management.
• Manage, mitigate and escalate risks, and act as a trusted business partner influencing strategy and solutions.
• Promote continuous improvement and operational change, and recruit, mentor and document process subject matter experts.

Required profile

• Minimum bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related business discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in a supervisory or first-line leader role in a shared service or BPO organization.
• Experience leading large teams (15+ people).
• Track record in continuous improvement or organizational/process transformation, and experience in a global account-to-report function of a multinational.
• Experience in multiple work migrations.
• Fluent English; other languages desirable.
• Up to 10% international travel; flexible shifts aligned with Americas, EMEA or Asia responsibilities.

Preferred qualifications

• CPA, CMA, MBA or other financial certification.
• Solid US GAAP accounting knowledge.
• Digital and intelligent automation capabilities.
