A2R GBS Closing and Reporting Accountant – LATAM

About the role

As an A2R GBS Closing and Reporting Accountant you will join Opella’s Global Business Services Finance team, supporting month‑end closing and reporting across six Latin American countries. The role offers exposure to regional operations, global stakeholders and multinational reporting processes while contributing to the company’s mission of simplifying self‑care for millions.

Key responsibilities

• Support monthly closing and reporting activities in line with established accounting timelines.
• Prepare and post accounting entries, adjustments and reconciliations ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Assist with inventory accounting, including standard cost updates and related reporting.
• Support fixed‑asset accounting such as capitalization, depreciation and month‑end reviews.
• Perform balance‑sheet and profit‑and‑loss reconciliations and contribute to financial analysis.
• Resolve process issues in accounting systems, follow up on requests and support corrective actions.
• Collaborate with colleagues across different countries and functions to ensure consistent accounting operations.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field.
• Experience supporting accounting, financial reporting, closing processes or general‑ledger activities.
• Good understanding of accounting principles and financial controls.
• Ability to analyse information, solve problems and deliver accurate work within deadlines.
• Comfortable working in a collaborative environment and handling multiple priorities.
• Intermediate to upper‑intermediate English (B2) for meetings with international stakeholders.
• Experience with SAP, shared‑services environments, inventory accounting, fixed assets or IFRS is a plus.
