Account Manager – Logistics

About the role

Core Logistics is seeking an Account Manager to coordinate internal operations teams and external customers, ensuring the smooth movement and completion of individual shipments. You will be the primary point of contact for shippers, consignees, and customers, delivering high‑quality service while meeting performance metrics.

Key responsibilities

• Manage individual loads to meet margin, on‑time pickup/delivery, and SLA targets.
• Initiate and maintain communication with customers, shippers, and consignees for each shipment.
• Act as first escalation point, solving client issues promptly.
• Own shipments throughout their lifecycle, from tender acceptance to billing hand‑off.
• Set maximum buy rates, approve carrier offers, and post loads.
• Provide customers with TMS tracking links, proactive updates, and complete paperwork.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 3 years of logistics operations experience in freight brokerage.
• Experience with open‑deck and specialized full‑truckload operations preferred.
• Strong organization, communication, and relationship‑building abilities.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a sense of urgency and teamwork orientation.

Required skills

• Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
