Accountant

About the role

Monks Technology Services is seeking an Accountant to join its Finance team. The role is focused on maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Record, classify, and reconcile financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, journal entries, and general ledger activity.
• Prepare and review monthly reconciliations for bank accounts, suppliers, customers, and ledger accounts.
• Support tax compliance and assist in the preparation of tax filings.
• Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in line with GAAP and/or IFRS.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing processes, including accruals and adjustments.
• Provide accurate data for budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Collaborate with external auditors by supplying schedules and documentation.
• Monitor internal controls and identify opportunities to improve accounting processes.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Professional ethics, confidentiality, and adaptability in a dynamic environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP or accounting systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks.
