Accountant

About the role

Join EPAM's finance team as an Accountant supporting Colombia‑based business activities. You will maintain reliable financial records, ensure compliance with local statutory obligations, and work closely with finance and operational partners.

Key responsibilities

• Post and review ERP transactions, ensuring correct ledger accounts, cost centre coding, documentation and posting dates.
• Handle vendor invoices, expense bookings and accrual calculations, coordinating with Procurement, Accounts Payable and internal requestors.
• Issue accounting entries for customer billings and verify revenue‑related records.
• Maintain the fixed asset register, accounting for acquisitions, movements, depreciation, retirements and reconciliations.
• Perform monthly balance‑sheet reconciliations, investigate mismatches and submit corrections.
• Support period‑close activities including pre‑payments, accruals, reclassifications and journal postings.
• Prepare financial‑reporting packages, statutory and internal statements, and assist with Colombian tax reporting.
• Provide documentation for audits and coordinate with Treasury, Tax, Accounts Payable and Receivable.

Required profile

• University degree in Public Accounting from an accredited institution.
• Active Colombian Professional Accountant Card.
• At least two years of accounting experience in a corporate, multinational or shared‑services environment.
• Experience with Colombian accounting processes, monthly/annual close cycles and basic tax requirements.
• Intermediate Excel skills for lookups, PivotTables, filters and reconciliations.
• English communication at B2 level or higher.
