Accountant

About the role

A growth financing marketplace for small business owners is hiring five Accountants to join its team as soon as possible. The role suits professionals with solid accounting expertise who can adapt to evolving technological processes in financial operations. You will work closely with the Accounting Service Manager and other teams to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Record and process accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and general ledger entries accurately.
• Assist in preparing financial statements and reports in line with US GAAP standards.
• Perform regular bank, credit card and general ledger reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and support audits and tax filings.
• Identify ways to improve financial operations, increase efficiency and reduce errors.
• Work with internal teams and external partners to keep accounting processes smooth.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 1-3 years of accounting experience; the requirement is reduced because of technology-driven process changes.
• Background in firms such as Deloitte, PwC, EY or KPMG is highly valued.
• Understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting practices.
• Advanced English proficiency (Spanish is optional).

Required skills

• Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks and Xero.
• Proficiency in Excel.
• Willingness to learn new tools and adapt to changing accounting technologies.
• High attention to detail in reporting and reconciliations.
