Accountant (QBO + US GAAP)

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented, analytical Accountant with 2–3 years of experience to join our remote finance team. The role requires strong English communication and advanced QuickBooks expertise to maintain accurate financial records and support month‑end close.

Key responsibilities

• Manage general ledger entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations using QuickBooks.
• Assist in monthly, quarterly and annual closing processes, preparing trial balances, journal entries and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare timely financial statements and reports for management and stakeholders.
• Identify operational efficiencies and automate accounting workflows.
• Maintain internal controls, resolve discrepancies and ensure compliance.
• Serve as primary financial contact, presenting figures clearly and collaborating with cross‑border teams.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of hands‑on accounting experience, preferably in an international or US‑based environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Fluent/native English communication, both verbal and written.
• Strong knowledge of fundamental accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS).
• Self‑starter attitude with high autonomy and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks (Online or Desktop).
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP).
