Accounting Manager – Bogotá, Colombia

About the role

China Three Gorges Latam is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead its finance function in Bogotá. The role focuses on Colombian accounting and tax compliance, IFRS reporting, and the management of SAP Finance processes within a fast‑growing clean‑energy organization.

Key responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial statements.
• Oversee full compliance with Colombian tax obligations (DIAN) and regulatory reporting to Superservicios and Supersociedades.
• Manage cash‑flow monitoring, accounts receivable/payable, and debt‑covenant tracking.
• Own the SAP Finance (FI/CO) module, guaranteeing data integrity and driving automation improvements.
• Coordinate responses to external, internal and HQ audits.
• Supervise fixed‑asset management, IFRS 16 amortization schedules and capitalization controls.
• Lead, coach and develop a team of accountants, fostering accuracy and accountability.
• Serve as the primary accounting and tax reference for Legal, Commercial and Operations teams.

Required profile

• Public Accountant with 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Strong command of SAP Finance (FI/CO) modules.
• Solid knowledge of IFRS/NIIF standards and Colombian tax legislation.
• Proven experience managing statutory audits and regulatory filings.
• Advanced written and spoken English for HQ‑level reporting.
• Background in energy, utilities or infrastructure is valued.
• Willingness to work 100% onsite at the Bogotá office.
