Accounting Manager

About the role

The Finance & Accounting team seeks an Accounting Manager to lead the company’s accounting function, ensuring accurate, timely financial information in line with U.S. GAAP and local Colombian regulations. You will oversee close processes, reporting, internal controls, and support strategic financial decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee general ledger, monthly/quarterly/annual close, journal entries, reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP, ASC 606 revenue recognition and ASC 842 lease accounting.
• Lead, develop and allocate resources for the accounting team across AP, AR and General Accounting.
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls, coordinate external audits and address audit findings.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow management and payroll accounting, providing insights for management decisions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (MBA desirable).
• 5+ years progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory/managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and ASC standards.
• Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite or QuickBooks.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, financial modeling).
• NetSuite or QuickBooks ERP proficiency.
• Application of ASC 606 and ASC 842 accounting standards.
• Payroll accounting and related reconciliations.
