Accounting Manager - Marketing

About the role

The Accounting Manager will lead key accounting functions for a corporate entity that provides shared services to multiple brands. Reporting to the Brand Controller, you will deliver monthly financial results analysis and support various corporate initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day operations for general ledger accounting areas.
• Liaise with Accounts Receivable, Billing, Accounts Payable and Finance on inquiries.
• Review and approve monthly close entries (prepaid, fixed assets, accruals, deferred rent, AMEX, etc.).
• Oversee accounting staff to meet close and reporting deadlines.
• Review balance‑sheet reconciliations and prepare GL account analyses.
• Maintain an orderly accounting filing system.
• Prepare and review audit schedules, conduct audit research and respond to auditor questions.
• Assist with year‑end tax schedule preparation.
• Oversee intercompany reconciliation processes.
• Support month‑end ancillary packages and Hyperion trial balance uploads.
• Provide backup for other shared‑service areas and handle ad‑hoc requests.

Required profile

• Experience with large ERP and accounting software platforms.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge (GAAP, FASB, SEC disclosure requirements).
• Proven ability to manage month‑end close, audits, and intercompany reconciliations.
• Detail‑oriented with strong analytical and documentation skills.
