Accounting Senior Associate

About the role

WeWork is seeking an Accounting Senior Associate to join our Latam Accounting team at the Bogotá headquarters. You will support month‑end close, financial statement consolidation, variance analysis and liaise with external outsourcers for our Colombian and Peruvian entities.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in the regional month‑end close process for Latin America entities.
• Review, analyze and consolidate financial statements for Colombia and Peru, aligning Local GAAP with US GAAP.
• Conduct month‑over‑month expense and balance‑sheet variance analyses with management commentary.
• Perform comprehensive P&L variance analysis and partner with cross‑functional teams to resolve anomalies.
• Manage relationships with external accounting outsourcers in Colombia and Peru.
• Support variable rent calculations and ensure compliance with leasing contracts.
• Assist internal and external audit requests and prepare working papers.
• Support corporate expense accounting, accruals, prepayments and review AP/AR sub‑ledgers.

Required profile

• Qualified Accountant with an active professional card in Colombia.
• Minimum 3 + years of accounting experience, preferably in multinationals or Big 4.
• Strong understanding of Local GAAP (Colombia & Peru) and US GAAP.
• Experience with multi‑entity month‑end close processes across South America.
• Advanced Excel skills for complex reconciliations and data modeling.
• Intermediate level of English.
