Accounting Specialist – Americas

About the role

ChainGPT is seeking a hands‑on Accounting Specialist to own end‑to‑end accounting and core finance operations for a multi‑entity group operating across multiple jurisdictions. You will be responsible for audit‑ready books, disciplined controls, and compliant reporting of both crypto and fiat activity while working closely with senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Own the monthly, quarterly and year‑end close across all entities, ensuring accuracy, completeness and timeliness.
• Maintain the general ledger, including journal entries, accruals, prepaids, FX revaluation and supporting schedules.
• Run a standard close calendar, drive the close process, and clear monthly exceptions such as missing invoices or stale reconciliations.
• Bookkeep across all entities with consistent policies, coding and documentation standards.
• Manage intercompany invoicing, reconciliations, balances and related‑party documentation.
• Lead end‑to‑end crypto transaction accounting across wallets, exchanges, custodians and tokens, ensuring strong audit trails.
• Classify crypto flows, maintain schedules for realized/unrealized gains and cost‑basis tracking.
• Implement finance controls, maintain a compliance calendar and coordinate with external accountants, auditors and tax advisors.

Required profile

• Hands‑on accounting professional comfortable with multi‑entity and intercompany accounting.
• Experience handling crypto‑related accounting and reconciliation.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to keep documentation audit‑ready.
• Proactive in maintaining controls, compliance and governance processes.
