Accounts Receivable Coordinator (QuickBooks) - Remote

About the role

A fast-growing company is looking for a hands-on Accounts Receivable Manager to own AR and collections. It is a player-coach role: you will lead a team of collectors while doing the transactional work yourself in QuickBooks when needed. The position is fully remote, in Pacific Time with flexible hours, and you are measured on outcomes rather than being closely managed.

Key responsibilities

• Own collections performance and cash flow, drive DSO down and track collections KPIs weekly
• Lead the collections team of 7 people based in Mexico: assign work, check it gets done and step in on underperformance
• Set the follow-up rhythm so every past-due account is touched every other day, using existing tools to spot untouched accounts
• Do transactional work in QuickBooks yourself: adjustments, credit memos, write-offs and account-level fixes
• Manage the AR inbox and customer escalations, resolving issues in a single clear message
• Run and analyse weekly aging reports and turn them into specific actions
• Report to leadership on a fixed schedule with a weekly AR status report, and complete the monthly AR-to-Salesforce reconciliation
• Improve how collections works and coordinate with Billing, Sales, Support and Leadership

Required profile

• 3+ years in Accounts Receivable / Collections, including a management or supervisory role
• Proven track record of reducing DSO and improving collections results
• Strong time management, able to lead a team and do your own work at the same time
• Decisive and independent, comfortable making day-to-day calls without escalation
• Excellent written and verbal English for client and leadership communication
• Nice to have: experience with Upflow or similar AR automation tools, Salesforce experience, Spanish, and a background in startups or fast-growing companies

Required skills

• Advanced, hands-on QuickBooks skills; candidates must score in the top tier on the company's QuickBooks assessment
• Solid accounting fundamentals: debits/credits, revenue vs. bad debt, credit memos, adjustments
• Google Workspace (Gmail, Sheets) and strong Excel
