Ad Hoc Senior Graphic Designer / Art Director

About the role

HelloKindred, a staffing specialist for marketing, creative and technology roles, is recruiting a Senior Graphic Designer / Art Director for a client in the information technology and services industry. The role provides ad hoc creative support, leads conceptual development and handles visual identity work, mainly supporting the existing creative team with overflow projects. It is remote, project-based and averages about 5-10 hours per week, with workload depending on project needs.

Key responsibilities

• Lead B2B conceptual design thinking, creative development and art direction across assigned projects alongside the Design Director.
• Develop visual identities for events, campaigns and corporate initiatives such as executive holiday card campaigns, holiday program materials, conference assets, sports event creative and sector visual identity concepts.
• Provide overflow creative conceptual support and help relieve the team's workload as projects arise.
• Apply strategic thinking and creative rationale to design decisions, including the choice of photography styles.
• Explore AI-powered creative tools such as Adobe Firefly to support creative development.
• Collaborate with production designers who execute and extend established creative concepts.

Required profile

• Strong conceptual design and art direction experience, able to own projects and lead creative concepts.
• Ability to work alongside a Design Director and accept feedback on design adjustments.
• Demonstrated expertise in visual identity, corporate branding and campaign creative work.
• Portfolio showing strategic thinking, clear objectives and creative rationale; previous B2B and corporate creative work.
• Availability for project-based freelance work averaging 5-10 hours per week, with flexibility for fluctuating loads.
• Remote availability and ability to collaborate across time zones, especially with North America.
• Legal authorization to live and work in the host country without employer sponsorship.

Required skills

• Familiarity with AI-powered creative tools such as Adobe Firefly.
• Figma is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Motion and digital design are desirable but not required; minimal emphasis on illustration.
