Air Freight Operations Expert (AFR OAM)

About the role

We are looking for an Air Freight Operations Expert (AFR OAM) to manage transport orders, ensure compliance with export/import regulations, and deliver exceptional customer service within our Global Service Center in Bogota.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of transport orders, ensuring timely pickup and optimizing booking processes.
• Prepare, control, and distribute required documents while complying with origin export and destination import regulations.
• Collaborate with counterparts to validate and finalize documentation and assign tasks to supporting functions.
• Serve as the first point of contact for customers, providing shipment status, documentation requirements, incident resolution, and pricing information.
• Record, track, and resolve operational exceptions, proactively updating customers.
• Maintain accurate cost and revenue capture against customer profiles and resolve related financial issues.
• Accept quotation requests and forward them to the quotations team; pass leads to sales.
• Support weekend urgencies or critical situations affecting shipment movement.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year experience in air freight forwarding.
• Strong understanding of air regulations, documentation and Incoterms.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills in English.
• Proactive, solution‑oriented attitude with a “can‑do” mindset.
• Students or professionals in industrial engineering, international business or related fields are welcome.
