Analyst – Settlement Operations

About the role

The Analyst, Settlement Operations will lead a team that handles daily settlement functions for Mastercard customers across the Americas time zones. The role involves processing settlement cut‑offs, generating advisements, managing fund transfers, onboarding new customers and responding to inquiries.

Key responsibilities

• Execute daily settlement processing for domestic and cross‑border funds transfers.
• Maintain and apply reconciliation procedures within Settlement.
• Resolve settlement issues within banking cut‑off times.
• Identify and propose process enhancements to improve efficiency and quality.
• Investigate and remediate transaction discrepancies and keep desktop procedures up‑to‑date.
• Collaborate with customer support to address internal and external queries.
• Provide guidance and training on Settlement processes to other business units.
• Manage incident investigations and resolutions for Settlement operations.
• Review daily fail reports and ensure remediation of aged items.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Management Information Systems (or equivalent experience).
• 1–2 years of experience in card payments or banking back‑office payment operations.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, treasury operations, and payment operations.
• MBA is a plus but not required.
