Assistant Project Manager, Construction Projects

About the role

The Assistant Project Manager will support the delivery of construction projects, travelling to on‑site locations outside Bogotá. The role involves handling a variety of tasks, assisting project teams of all sizes, and acting as a key point of contact for clients.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver a range of tasks to high‑quality standards across multiple projects.
• Assist on projects of varying dimensions, handling commissions of differing complexity.
• Work either within a larger team or as the primary day‑to‑day contact with the client.
• Help establish project success criteria, including time, cost, technical performance, governance, planning, and systems.
• Monitor and control projects by applying performance‑management techniques, managing change control, and advising on finances.
• Read and interpret project documents such as agreements, charters, budgets, schedules, and drawings.
• Prepare status reports, process purchase orders, update tracking reports, and maintain due‑diligence and financial files.
• Manage project correspondence—including meetings, reports, memos, and emails—to facilitate tracking and communication.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture or a related field.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in a similar project‑management role.
• Ability to develop reports and conduct project follow‑ups.
• Fluent in both Spanish and English.
• Experience managing the flow of information between teams and clients through meetings and written communication.
