Associate Electrical Engineer

About the role

The Associate Electrical Engineer will work in the Engineering Unit of the Service Delivery Section, supporting the United Nations Verification Mission in Colombia. The role involves applying electrical and civil engineering principles to design, maintain, and manage mission infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Perform engineering calculations, prepare AutoCAD drawings, and support design coordination for construction and facilities projects.
• Record test data, assist in project planning, and draft detailed designs and technical reports.
• Evaluate bidder proposals, manage procurement requisitions, and liaise with contractors.
• Conduct site surveys, manage asset registers, and support budget and project planning activities.
• Ensure compliance with UNVMC policies, code of conduct, and integrate gender‑sensitive approaches.
