Automation QA Operations Analyst

About the role

As a QA Analyst within the Smart Automation Team at ScotiaTech in Bogota, you will support testing and validation of automation solutions, working closely with developers, business analysts and cross‑functional teams to ensure quality across the development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Business Analysts and Developers to define test scenarios and develop manual test cases for functional, regression, integration and system testing.
• Log and manage defects using Jira, support automation efforts with tools such as UiPath and Pega OpenSpan, and perform API testing with Postman and RestAssured.
• Conduct backend data validation, participate in patch testing, assist in UAT preparation and execution, and maintain QA documentation.
• Support integration of testing into CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in software QA or testing, with manual testing and basic automation scripting.
• Familiarity with Agile, Scrum and DevOps practices and strong communication and collaboration skills.

Required skills

• Selenium, UiPath, WorkFusion, Pega OpenSpan.
• API testing tools: Postman, RestAssured; knowledge of REST and GraphQL.
• Jira for defect tracking.
• Manual testing techniques.
