Backend Engineer

About the role

Addi is a fast‑growing fintech platform in Colombia, building payments, shopping and banking experiences for millions of users. As a Backend Engineer you will own end‑to‑end delivery of backend services, working closely with designers, product owners and other engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and release production‑ready backend features using the JVM stack.
• Architect resilient, scalable components and maintain high‑performance APIs.
• Write unit, component and integration tests to ensure reliability.
• Participate in daily code reviews and share knowledge across the team.
• Deploy features daily via CI/CD pipelines and rotate on‑call duties.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of professional backend development experience with Java, Kotlin or Scala.
• Proven ability to deliver scalable, high‑performance systems in production.
• Experience working in agile teams (sprints, stand‑ups, retrospectives).
• Strong business acumen and ability to align technical solutions with product goals.
